The work

How a commission works

No price list. Every wall is quoted on its own.

1

Start with the goal

Not just the wall — what the room is for, what you want to feel in it, your timing and your budget. The first consultation is free.

2

Options, not a guess

Directions that fit the goal, the space and the number. Creative, but built to work in a room you actually live in.

3

Your wall, visualised

A sketch or a photorealistic render of your own space — whichever makes the decision clearest — with a written price and timeline.

4

You approve

Nothing is painted until you've said yes. 50% books the dates and covers the design work and materials.

5

Painted on site

A day for a small piece, a few weeks for a room, with progress photos throughout. 40% at the midpoint, 10% on completion.

How a wall
happens

One project, start to end. Bare concrete in January, a room someone lives in by spring.

The empty room before any work: bare concrete floor, blank white wall, full-height window
01 · BeforeBare concrete, blank wall 818 sq ft of nothing, and a client with no references.
The Desert concept board: dune photography, a soft sand and stone palette, and notes on texture and atmosphere
02 · ConceptThe designer's brief Soft landscape, natural palette, texture like dunes. Agreed before anything was opened.
The first two dark lines sprayed onto bare drywall, masking tape still in place
03 · First shapesRough form and colour Bands masked and laid in. Everything is decided at this stage.
Daniel at the wall taping and blending the layered landscape as it builds up
04 · LayersTexture and composition Layer over layer, blended wet, until the joins disappear.
The finished Desert mural behind a green velvet sofa in the completed living room
05 · FinishedDesert, in its room The wall the client couldn't describe, in the room they now live in.

About

Painted by a person,
not a machine.

No printed vinyl. No projected outline traced over. Daniel draws the wall first, then paints it directly, which is why no two walls come out the same.

Every piece is signed. We say what it is made from, how long it took, and how to look after it.
