Garden

Three outdoor pieces on one property: a pike crossing the gable of the house, water lilies along the pool wall, and a wood running the length of the boundary fence.

Outdoor work is a different job from indoor work. The paint has to survive weather and sun, the surfaces are rough render and concrete rather than smooth plaster, and the whole thing is read from much further away, so everything is drawn bigger and simpler.

The fence piece is the longest: a continuous wood that turns the boundary into a view.
